By placing an order with Can’t Afford Em Buttons you are acknowledging that you have read and understand the conditions under which shirts or other textile items will be provided for you.
1) Quality- All of our products are handmade. Our screens are hand-painted and the items are then screened without the aid of a machine. As a result there will be some imperfections on some of the items. Examples of these imperfections from the printing process include, but are not limited to:
1) small, stray dots of ink
2) light ink streaks around the main design
3) slightly thicker/thinner lines of ink within the design
4) slightly off-center/tilted main design
As a result of this we have a 10% margin of error. This means that up to 10% of the t-shirts may contain some of the slight errors listed above. Normally the number is less then 10%. You will be responsible for purchasing all of the shirts that fall into this 10%; however, the price of the “flawed” quantity of items will be lowered to the material cost. We have found that these “10% shirts” can all be sold for a discounted price, and often are still able to be sold at full price. We will not give you or charge you for any shirts with major flaws on them.
We can provide you with the exact number of shirts you need flaw-free (waving the 10%); however, this will incur an additional fee of $.50 per shirt.
2) There may be some slight initial fading with certain items (as with any screen printed clothing). Certain ink colors set better or worse to certain cloth types and colors.
3) Proofs- A proof of what your image will look like will be sent to you before production begins. If there are any problems with the proof (misspellings, sizing, omitted or added words, etc…) these must be addressed at this time. If you find something wrong with the image after the shirts have been made there is nothing we can do and you will still be responsible for full payment.
4) Samples- As stated before, all of our screens are hand-painted. This means that some lines may not be perfectly straight; there might be a slight unevenness in certain areas, or other imperfections you would expect with a hand-painted/drawn image. If we do not think we can provide an accurate depiction of your design then we will tell you before we begin the design.
Physical samples can be requested for an additional fee. The fee is as follows: Full price of the screen and screen preparation (approximately $30-$45 depending on complexity and size) + $10 for the sample item. This is a nonrefundable fee.
5) Payment- Unless arrangements are made beforehand, all material costs must be paid upon ordering. Shipping and labor costs may be paid upon completion of the job. All quotes are estimates and subject to change unless they have been given in writing.
